Daniel Clarke is listed in Griffiths Valuation (1864) as having plot 43 in Leitrim, which he farmed jointly with Owen Clarke. 14 acres. The land is still farmland today but their two houses appear to have bene demolished. The properties were at the edge of the modern Leitrim Rd.

Hi,

MaryTV - many thanks, I have looked at this record but I cannot clearly see Ben I thought that it may have been Bernard abbreviated.

Hi,

Elwyn, Many thanks also, I visited Leitrim Townland and Hilltown last year and met a relative Fr John Clarke and his niece Caitriona Doyle.

Kind regards

Raymond
