I think the heading on the top of the right hand page is a continuation of the bottom of the left hand page and does not mean that all information on that right hand page applies to Errarooey More (correct spelling).

Hello Roger,
I'm so embarrassed to not have noticed the flow of infomation on the document. Thank you so much. I'm still in search of my GG GF James' Townland after all of these years. Maybe the James in the document is my GGG GF and I can go with Meencoolasheskin as the Townland....
Hoping all has been well with you.

Hi Denny!
The 1826 Tithe listings for Raymunterdoney civil parish showed three James McFadden records. The locations were different townlands from Meencoolasheskin. Many McFaddens in the parish. My great-grandmother Catherine McFadden came from Derryreel. She emigrated to Philadelphia around 1868. All the best!

Thanks Roger.
Since my GG GF James & GG GM Sophia Sharkey named their 3 sons James, Bernard and Charles these 1826 Tithes may prove more reasonable as potential Townland for my James McFadden. James arrived in Philadelphia in April 1847 with his brother John. so since there are James, John & Charles McFadden’s listed in the Tithes you attached maybe Derrykeel and Lower are better possibilities.
Thanks again
Denny
Hello Roger,
Are there any resources where I can possibly locate on a map the locator number identified for James McFadden (#7) for Lower Ray in the Tithe Applotment record that you sent to me?
Thanks
Denny
Denny:
I think the answer to your questions is there are no Tithe
maps available showing where #7 is located within Lower Ray.
Here is a map from the johngrenham.com site which shows where Ray Upper and Ray (Lower) were located within Raymunterdoney parish. https://johngrenham.com/c_parish/c_parish_main.php?civilparishid=789&county=Donegal&civilparish=Raymunterdoney&townland=Ray&townlandid=55289
I also looked at https://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/ The Griffiths was conducted in 1857 in Donegal. You can enter James McFadden for Raymunterdoney parish and you will get seven records. I think the last one is the James McFadden in Ray. Unfortunately, the plot numbers assigned for all the tenants in Ray do not correspond to the map provided (second Map View).

Thank you so much Roger. I now have a better idea of where my James McFadden was from. I’ve been so close to to Ray Lower & Upper as well as Derryreel during my 2 visits to Donegal. Now need to go back and walk around those Townlands and maybe get a good vibe of my McFadden roots.
Merry Christmas to you and your family
Denny
