Thomas Heron (brother of William), married Margaret Hunter of Conwall, 26 April 1849, in Parish Church of Conwall

DonegalConwal (Donegal)

Thomas Heron (brother of William) was a carpenter who lived in Ballymacool.  He married Margaret Hunter of Conwall on April 26, 1849, in the Parish Church of Conwall.  Thomas and Margaret emigrated to the United Sttes, where Margaret died on August 10, 1860, at the age of 34.

William Heron (b 22 June 1823, d 12 May 1888 in Toronto) was a mason and master builder, and emigrated from Ireland to Streetsville, Ontario, between 1840 to 1849.  In 1855 he purchased two acres of land in Streetsville Junction.  William Heron is the GG grandfather of David John Heron, living in Worthington, Ontario.

William and Thomas' parents were Edward Heron, born 1795, and Catherine, born 1792 (Ireland) - source was the 1851 Census for Peel County, Ontario.   Suspect they emigrated from Ballymacool area.

Please let me know if you have any connections or information regarding available records to further our research in Ireland.  Thank you!

David:

The only other source that I'm aware of would be the Tithe Applotment listings which for Conwal parish were dated 1830. I looked at the records for Ballymacool and there were no Heron records.
