Collins/Diver/Lewis

DonegalConwal (Donegal)

I have been to the cathredral in Letterkenny on two separate occasions and have received baptismal certificates for all the Collins children with the exception of Charles (who we finally found to be 10 yrs older than our records have shown) I would like to know if there were any other siblings of Daniel Collins who didn't emigrate to Canada and as well some confirmation of Barbara Divers siblings. We traced some names through the church baptismal records of sponsors names given .

Sarah was my grandmother and I too have a great uncle Bernard who my mother (Bernardine) was named after.

Hi Jann

There are 14 birth/baptism records of Charles Collins Donegal on www.rootsireland.ie/

2 are from Letterkenny RC parish & 1 from Letterkenny Civil Parish

There is a charge to view the records

You might also try http://geni.directgov.au if you are looking for records after 1845

If you know Dnaiel Collins parents' names you can search for them on either of the above

tootsireland also has 5 Barbara Divers baptisms (surname variants) - all from Mayo

Thank you ColCaff...where would I look for records of 1828 the year of my great grandfather's birth as I do not have the names of his parents to be able to trace my Irish family who remained in Ireland while my family emigrated.
