Mynehane/Moynihan of Shountullig North and Leahy of Castle Island and Gortnamona

CorkSkull (Cork)

I am eager to connect with descendants of Darby (Jeremiah) Mynehane of Drishane, later Shountullig North, and James Leahy of Castle Island.  Our Mynehanes changed the spelling to Moynihan. Some are still in the town land, but most are in NewYork and Massachusetts.  The Leahy family has branches in Gortnamona, Kilbronogue, Glaun and others.

Hi Katherine,

Thanks for your message. I have passed it on to one of our volunteers in the area. Hopefully they will be able to assist or advise you.

In the meantime do you have any other information you could post, in particular any dates such as birth/mariage/emigration? The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you.

Kind regards,
