William BUCKLEY & Mary REARDON / O'REARDON / O'RIORDON

Cork

Wm. & Mary have been found in records from the LDS searching as married in Drumtariff.

LDS film #0883696 Roman Cath. Christeings 1832-1875 lists a John and Joan Shea Buckley with dau. christ. Apr. 19, 1835, Catherine, but there are no more listings for this couple in Dromtarriff, Co. Cork, Ire.  the same list that we find a Wm & Mary Riordan Buckley with sons, Dan & John, 1837 & 1853 resp.  John is my 2nd gr grandfather.

According to his younger sister per 1900 census in New Jersey, the family immigrated in 1862.  Wm. didn't serve in the US Civil War, so there are no records there.

We feel that this Daniel maybe a bro. or cousin to our Mary, perhaps Godfather to her son, Daniel b. 1837.

Any help with this family in Ireland would be greatly appreciated, thank you,

Ruth

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

Yesterday, the National Library of Ireland released all RC parish registers online for free searching. Dromtarriff parish although in Co. Cork is actually in the Diocese of Kerry. Here is the link to the register: http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0047

Records for this parish start in 1832 so I would review the register to see what records you can locate.
