My great great grandfather, Patrick Dineen was born in County Cork in 1815.  He married Margaret Donovan (b. 1811).  Their first child was Patrick Dineen (b. 1835) in County Cork.  Another child was Daniel Dineen (b. 1842) in County Cork.  He is my great grandfather.  The elder Patrick Dineen left Ireland for Canada in 1847 with his wife and children.  He died either enroute or just after arriving in Canada.  His widow Margaret came on to Ontario in Canada.

Daniel was married in 1876 to Mary Anne Sheehy (b. 1852) in Kenilworth, Ontario. Their eldest child, Patrick Dineen, my grandfather, was born in 1877 in Arthur, Ontario, and was one of nine children.  Patrick married Ellen Bodendistle (b. 1881 in Arthur, ON) in 1907.  They had nine children.  The oldest, Daniel (b. 1908 in Kenilworth, ON) was my father.  He moved to Toronto, ON in 1926 and married Cecilia Moran (b. 1917 in Barrie, ON) .  My name is Terrence Daniel Dineen (b. 1955 in Toronto).  I am the youngest of five children of Dan and Cel, three of which are still alive and living in Toronto. I was married in 1981 to Mary Siobhan Lee (b. 1957 in Toronto) and have two children: Aidan (b. 1985 in Toronto) and Maire (b. 1989 in Toronto).  Maire is the current Toronto Rose and competed in the Rose of Tralee contest in 2012.  Her maternal grandfather was Anthony Lee (b. 1927 in Tralee, d. 1998 in Toronto).  He started the Toronto Rose contest in the 1960's.

The connection back to Cork has been lost and I have no idea which parish my ancestors lived in.  In 1981 I was driven from Tralee across into County Cork by two Kerry residents who had a hunch that the Dineens lived near the Cork/Kerry border.  We were driving somewhere in western Cork when we came across a Denis Dineen who said that he had relatives operating farms in the area.  I am not sure where I was, since we were out in the country and not near a town.

It appears that you are my second cousin once removed.  Daniel Dineen and Mary Anne Sheehy are my grandmother's grandparents (i.e. my great great grandparents).  My grandmother is your grandfather's niece (her mom is Margret Dineen who is your grandfather Patrick's sister).
