Mary Donovan or Hedges
Cork
Mary Donovan /Donevan / Hedges was transported to Sydney on board the transport ship "Brothers", arriving 04 February 1827. She was aged 20, (born abt. 1807)single andRoman Catholic. She is recorded as being a House Girl, and was convicted of "House Robbery". Her "Native Place" is recorded as "Cork". The trial was in Cork on 26 March 1826 and Mary was sentenced to 7 years. She had no prior convictions. I cannot find a transcript of the Court proceedings, nor can I find the names of her parents. She lived, married, had a large family and died in Australia in 1880. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
