Dear mjnunan

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out and apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

There is something of a division in terms of where you can look for Cork records. Some are available on www.irishgenealogy.ie (a free site) and the rest are available on other sites like rootsireland, familysearch or ancestry.com. Have you already tried these sources? You should also look at the Tithes and Griffith's Valuation:

Tithes: http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/home.jsp

Griffith's Valuation: http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/

Best wishes

For MJNunan - To Michael, Your post re Nunan has very much interested me & am wondering if we have a connection - my Grt Grt Grandmother is Caroline/Catherine Barry M to Isaac Myers in Western Australia in York 1863 - she was born ? Cloyne Cork Ireland abt 1839-1843 migrated from England to WA in 1862 with I presume a younger sister Ann & I think they came from Middletown Cork, there is also another sister Mary who also came out later. Their parents are William Barry/Berry b abt 1820 & Margaret Newman/Nunan birth unknown, bevc
