Charles Bateman

Hi I am seeking more details on birth of two ancestors from Cork Ireland, when actually born/baptised and lived in Cork .

Charles Bateman based on 1851 UK census born 1810 in Cork, Ireland , a bedstead maker, married to Annestable , children John, Charles ,Barbara, Jane , Anastasia. Suspect he married Ann Driskell 5 Nov 1828 Star Anne SOHO , Westminster. All there children born in Westminster ,mddx area.

Would really like to track roots birth date , and when they're baptised in Cork. I suspect looking at records of their children baptisms in UK and marriage that Charles Bateman died between 1865 and 1872. In one marriage he had his occupation down as cabinet maker later in life.

Any help on this appreciated.

1851 Census from Ancestry. Not sure why Charles isn't listed but he is on the original. I think both mother and daughter on Anastatia or Ann. Have you checked out the relatives? Owen family was born in Cork. His children in England.

Andrew, keep in mind that it is possible that Ann was Charles's second wife. No child was born for 6 years after Charles Jr. Maybe Charles had two sons when he married Ann. Maybe her married name was Owen and the relatives in the household named Owen were her children. Just a thought.

Thanks Mary /Patricia . Interesting perspective on the other relatives and her possible children. Not found any marriage that supports Can't find any other Baremans that were carpenters/bedstead makers / or wood turners that may be a connection to find the parents of Charles Bateman but will keep looking.
