Ancestors from Cork who emigrated to Canada
Through Ancestry.ca I found Michael Flannery and Bridget Carroll who are 2nd great grandparents who went to Canada some time before 1857 since that was the year my grandmother's mother was born in Montreal, Canada. I was told by relatives that they thought Bridget came from Cork but I don't have any otherinformation. Based on her death record, she was born about 1823/1824. I have not been able to determine whether Michael and Bridget were married in Ireland and then moved to Canada or came individually or with their own families and met in Montreal. The only other thing that I find strange and don't know if it is helpful but the death record for the spouse of Michael Flannery shows her name as Bridget Kavanagh and the year of birth is based on her age when she died in 1904.
Sponsors for two of Michael and Bridget's children were Mary Flannery and Catherine Flannery but I amonly guessing they might have been sisters of Michael.
Not sure what to do next. Thank you for any help or suggestions.
