Martin McLaughlin/O'Laughlin/Laughlin

Martin was born in September 1831 County Cork, immigrated to the USat age 19/20 in 1850 with 2 brothers, possibly Thomas & Patrick. The family stories state the name was O'Laughlin or Laughlin and changed to McLaughlin upon arrival in the states. No other family names or information is known on these 3 brothers, except the family Bible lists the county as Cork. Any information is greatly appreciated

Hi Debbie,

www.rootsireland.ie has a baptism record of Martin Loughlin 1833 Cork; parish is Aghada R C.

I searched 1831 + - 2 before I got the match so it seems that is the closest. (Baptisms could have been done later).

There are 5 Thomas Loughlins born 1831 + - 5 years and 4 Patricks in the same years.

If you purchase the Martin record on rootsireland you would get the parents' names and be able to search again with those to pinpoint the Thomas & Patrick records.
