Looking for Ellen Spillane

CorkKilkerranmore (Cork)

My grandmother, Ellen Spillane was born to Michael Spillane and Ellen Connor Spillane on May 20th, 1875 in West Cork. The place of birth is listed as Ahagilla, Castleventry, in the District of Clonakilty. Her father's occupation is listed as "farmer" and the witness to the birth is listed as Ellen Connor, Creaghmore, Kilkerranmore and I believe that she is the maternal grandmother.Ellen's birth was registered on June7, 1875. Also listed is the wording "a true copy of the Entry No.110". If you can find her baptismal certificate information and the listings of any brothers and sisters, I would be so very grateful!

The place names given in extracted records are often districts rather than specific townlands, so would fit with the mention of Castleventry on Ellen's birth cert. Ahagilla is the name of a townland, located in Casteventry civil parish. RC records for West Co. Cork are included on the free IrishGenealogy website.
