Coughlans in Cullenagh

Hello,
I descend from William Kennedy who married Joanna Coughlan in Kildorrery on 26 Feb1805. He was from Ballyshonock, she was from Cullenagh. They had one child after Kildorrery baptisms began (1824), called Ellen Kennedy, baptised 1 July 1825, address listed as Cullenagh. In the tithe applotment books I found William in Cullenagh, but in one version of it, I found something strange. Next to William, Patrick Noonan, and a bunch of Coughlans, a symbol that looks like a 96 appears.
