Ellen Bohane and Daniel McCarthy are my ancestors from the Kilcrohane or Durrus area of Cork. I am visiting Cork in May and would welcome any advice on how I can connect with McCarthys or Bohanes who are living there now.
Hi Kathleen
The Irish phone book 118.ie/ has 4 Bohanes in Cork
There are 200 McCarthys of whom 6 are in Durrus but none in Kilcrohane.
I am not permitted to give you their details on this site but if you go to the phone book, select people search & enter the name and address you'll find them; might be worth dropping the 10 above a line if you don't get any responses to your post.

This is fantastic. I didn't know about the phone book. I will follow up with the leads. Yes, Durrus is an alternative possibility for my McCarthy's as Ellen and Daniel were married in Muinterveraa.
