Jordan family in Gortroche, County Cork

CorkCastletownroche (Cork)

I’m looking for records and stories about my great-great grandfather, John Jordan, who was a weaver in Gortroche, County Cork. He was born around 1805 and emigrated with a Catherine and a Patrick (probably wife and son) around 1851. John died in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada in 1882. Any help tracing him would be much appreciated.

This John was born in 1797, not 1805, but as ages vary widely in censuses and other records, I am presenting it here, just in case.
