Searching for information on Maloney Line

CorkAghada (Cork)

I am trying to piece together my family line. I have all information until I reach Michael and Mary Maloney. Their son, Thomas Franklin Maloney was born20 Aug 1843(Aghada Perish), Whitegate, Cork Co., Ireland. I know Michael Maloney was bornabout1806 inWhitegate, Cork, Ireland. His wife, Mary Higgens Maloney was born about 1810 inWhitegate, Cork, Ireland. Michael and Mary died inBuffalo, Erie, NY, no dates for their deaths. Thank you for any help you can provide!

Dear lrosenvall

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out and thanks for your query.

As you can see from the link below, the Roman Catholic records for Aghada begin in 1792:

http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/fuses/rcparishmaps/index.cfm?fuseaction=showidrecords&CityCounty=Cork%20East&parish=Aghada&churchid=3

You could try searching www.familysearch.org or www.rootsireland.ie (a subscription site) for information on your Maloney ancestors. The baptism and marriage records of  Michael and Mary should be available on those suggested sites.

Best of luck with your search

Clare Doyle
