Colleeen,
Do you have the marriage certificate for John Nash and Mary Clune? What were their parents names.
You can check the local County Clare library at Clarelibrary.ie. Births, Marrriages and deaths.
The name "Nash" can be found in the area of Scarriff. "Clune" can be found in a wider area, including Scarriff.
Regards,
Colleen,
Can you add some dates- approximate birth years, marriage, when they went to America and Australia. Did they have children? Where and when? When did they die? Sometimes immigration and death records include parents' names.
Regards- Mary

Colleen,
Based on the gravestone which I might be mis transcribing, it looks like John was born in 1847 and Mary in1850.

Thanks for your answers I am pretty sure the father of John Nash was James but I don’t have any records with his mother’s name. What I would like to discover is when he went to America I do have a record of his marriage to Mary Clune in 1873 at parish St Peter archdiocese New York. Mary’s father was Thomas, again when did she go to America .
Colleen,
On Ancestry there are several records for a John Nash and Mary Clune coming to New York. Unfortunately, I would be guessing which one is yours. Sometimes the ship records include County and Father's name. None of them had that info.
Regards- Mary
