Hi Marianne:

Many thanks for your message to Ireland Reaching Out.

I have had a quick check in the Griffith's Valuation for you and I copy the following for your reference:

Flanagan Patrick Ballycar Tomfinlough Ennis
Flanagan Patrick Ballygriffy, South Dysert Ennis
Flanagan Patrick Ballymacahill Kilraghtis Ennis
Flanagan Patrick Bauntlieve Inagh Ennistimon
Flanagan Patrick Calluragh, South Kilmanaheen Ennistimon
Flanagan Patrick Carrowntedaun Kilmanaheen Ennistimon
Flanagan Patrick Commons, South Killinaboy Corrofin
Flanagan Patrick Doolough Kilmurry Kilrush
Flanagan Patrick Gortalougha Inagh Ennistimon
Flanagan Patrick Knockans, Lower Carran Ballyvaghan
Flanagan Patrick Knockans, Upper Carran Ballyvaghan
Flanagan Patrick Leagard, North: Milltown Malbay: Main St Kilfarboy Ennistimon
Flanagan Patrick Lehinch: Lehinch Town: Chapel St Kilmanaheen Ennistimon
Flanagan Patrick Luogh, South Killilagh Ennistimon
Flanagan Patrick Maghera Kilmanaheen Ennistimon
Flanagan Patrick Tulla: Tulla Town: Main St Tulla Tulla
Flanagan Patrick Tullagower Kilrush Kilrush

You will note that Patrick Flanagan appears to be centered around the Ennistimon Poor Law Union area.  What I would suggest that you do is to visit the Clare Library website at www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/genealogy/genealog.htm. ; They have a lot of online resources that you will be able to go through.  There are donated transcriptions of baptisms, marriages, and deaths and you can look at specific areas to try to narrow down your search.

I will look at the Patrick Flanagan in Tulla for you and see if there is any possible link.  I will get back to you in the next week or so.

If you would like to message me, please do at tulla@irelandxo.com.

Kind regards,

Jane.

Jane,

So Sorry for not getting back to you before this.

My wife, Noella passed away 2 years ago and with all that had to be done, has finally been put away.

I am coming to Ireland on the 6th of October 2025, with my eldest Granddaughter Mia, for 3 weeks and intend to spend 14 days in County Clare in and around Ennis.

I have just posted a current search for info, with the help of Kieran Jordan.

Kind Regards,

Phillip Payne, Australia.
