Anne McNamara and Parents Michael and Bridget Bourke from Lisoffin Tulla 1820-1870's
Hi Clare XO team,
Hoping to connect with other McNamara researchers and possibly Jane who is an XO representative that has McNamara in her line.
I have my GGrandmother Anne McNamara baptized June 21st 1861 Tulla Parish
Parents Michael McNamara and Bridget Bourke (Burke) of Lisophin (Lisoffin)
Anne emigrated to the US and specifically NYC around 1880.

Anne had 2 sisters Bridget baptized Feb 22nd 1859 with the same parents and listed as Lisophin townland and Mary McNamara baptized Feb 11th, 1856
I believe Anne also had a brother Matthew McNamara baptized on May 10th, 1853 born to the same parents also listed townland as Lisofin.
I believe that Bridget also emigrated to the US around the same timeframe as her sister Anne.
I am hoping to discover more about this family and if there are any descendants from this line of McNamara's still in the Lisoffin or Tulla area.
I would expect that there are more siblings to find in the parish registers as I have been going line by line through the microfish images that are online.
There is also another McNamara family in Lisoffin at the same time who had a child Thomas baptized on 10th July, 1861 to Matthew McNamara and Cath Burns townland Lisofin.
So I would expect some relation between Mathew and Michael McNamara.
One note of confusion is that I also found another baptism for an Anne McNamara on 28th Oct. , 1857 to parents Michael McNamara and Bridget Burke but the spelling of Burke is not Bourke as seen in the other parish register entries. I am wondering if this is the same family and this child died early or as an infant and they had another child and named her Anne in 1861.

Would love to hear from anyone that can assist in filling in the gaps or connect me with more of the McNamar family story.
Best to all,
Patrick Pollard
