I am seeking info on Jane Winslow, born in Cavan in C 1840, the daughter of John Winslow and Mary. In 1851 Jane and mother Mary, who was listed as a widow, were living in Warwickshire, England. Jane was the only child living with Mary.
John seems to have died in the late 1840s, and I assume married in late 1830s. A suggestion is that maybe her name was Mary Covell.
Can anyone assist me with info on the family?

It will really help your research if you could narrow down a more specific place in Cavan. Most Irish record sources- church records, land records, census records- are based on specific locations. Until you know a specific location within Ireland, preferably a parish or placename, it may be difficult to do anything more with these records.
Do you have any documentation pertaining to the family that mentions any place names in Cavan at all? This can include wills, marriage/death records,census records, letters, diary entries etc. For information on UK government records check the National Archives at: http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/records/looking-for-person/
There are some places where you can search online, however these websites do not have complete collections:
www.familysearch.org has a huge database of genealogical records including some church records for Ireland.
www.rootsireland.ie have a large collection of Irish Church records, however you have to pay to use this site.

WINSLOW Family of Cavan
I have a Maria WINSLOW (d. December 1842) who married in November 1805, Captain John QUIGLY (d. April 1814). I understand they lived in the Belturbet and/or Ballyhaise areas of Cavan. Interested in more information about the WINSLOW/QUIGLY connection. Regards, Jane Morrison
