White Family - Corglass/Bailieborough

CavanBailieborough (Cavan)

Hi All -

I am related to the White family who was very influential in the 1st Bailieborough Presbyterian Church (Corglass)

  • 4x great-grandfather was William White (1750-1835)
  • 3x great-grandfather was Hugh White, a farmer in Drumod (1796-1969) (brother of Patrick who was the minister of Corglass)

Research Interests:

  • Hugh's wife's name. Known children are: James, Thomas Robert, Jane (Clisdell), Elizabeth (Lindsay)
  • Burial place of Hugh: Is there another cemetery where the White family was buried besides Corglass?
  • A definitive history and genealogy of the White family? I have Leslie Mckeague's book which has a lot of great information, but wondering if anyone else has done a deep dive into this family.

Thank you in advance!

Hi Brenda,

Leslie's book would have been my reference point, but I will ask him if there is anyone locally who can assist me.
