Research help needed

CavanKinawley (Cavan)

I have just discovered that my great grandparents, Thomas Montgomery and Margaret Jamieson, were married in Kinawley,Cavan County, Ireland on 8 May 1862. I found them in an abstract onAncestors. com. They were listed in records named "Ireland, Select Marriages, 1619-1898". The abstract that I saw did not list more detailed information and I was hoping that you might be able to provide more about them. I am very anxious to find their parents names and anything else you might be able to find out about them or their family. I believe they left Ireland in about 1863 to immigrate to Canada. I know my family was Anglican.

Helen, you can obtain a Photo copy of the Civil Marriage Cert for the above couple from www.groireland.ie for ?4 - original costs 20E give the details listed below:

Registration District Enniskillen, Volume 5 Page 701 Year 1862 Thomas Montgomery & Margaret Jamieson.
I expect you probably are aware of their fathers names being John Montgomery & William Jamieson
