Dernaweel Killashandra Cavan Burial Informatio.

CavanKillashandra (Cavan)

I am looking for the burial place (hopefully) of my 2 g grandparents James & Ann WOODS.

From what I know ,James Woods died 13th or 14 th April 1865 Dernaweel Cavan. His death was registered in Arvagh Cavan .He died as a result of an accident.

He was the son of Andrew & Jane WOODS.

Ann WOODS died 3 June 1873 Dernaweel Cavan,.her death was also registered in Arvagh Cavan.

Ann's maiden name was HALES.

They were both Presbyterian faith. It has been suggested they may have been buried in a Church of Ireland graveyard.

I'm hoping someone may be able to help me locate them.

Thanks Rae Qld Aust.

Hi Rae,

Thank you very much for your message.

It may be an idea to write to the local Presbyterian Church for some assistance. Here is a link to their address:

Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.

Kind regards,
