gast,
There are 480 people named McKee in Armagh in the 1911 census. Perhaps you could give us details of the exact families you are interested in to narrow the search a bit?
Michael and Mary Ann McKee. They had 8 children and I believe Michael and James stayed behind. They have their burial plot in St Patricks Ballymacnab Chapel in Lisnadill and there are six relatives buried there. James McKee died in 1949 but may have had children. I am visiting next June and have my Irish citizenship and would love to learn as much as I can. Thank you.
38 folk named McKee in Seagahan in the 1911. This looks to be Michael and family. He had 8 children of whom 6 were still alive:

PRONI has 3 probate files for McKees from Seagahan:
Letters of Administration of the personal estate of Owen M'Kee late of Seagahan County Armagh Farmer who died 14 April 1887 at same place were granted at Armagh to Patrick M'Kee of Seagahan Farmer the Son.
McKee Michael of Seagahan county Armagh farmer died 14 April 1927 Probate Belfast 27 June to Michael McKee and Peter McKernan farmers. Effects £44.
McKee Patrick (Owen) of Seagahan county Armagh farmer died 11 November 1951 Probate Belfast 18 April to Hugh McKernan and Henry McKenna farmers. Effects £768 10s. W/A DBN PR 14.10.83.
Michael McKee’s will should be in PRONI in Belfast. If you go there you can view it free. It’s not on-line and so a personal visit is generally required.
Michael had plot 2 in Seagahan (an 8 acre farm). Near other McKee farms so probably they are all related.
Patrick Owen McKee’s probate abstract (summary) indicates no action was taken to sort out his estate when he died in 1951, and it was not until 1983 that someone realised it had been overlooked. So there were apparently some McKees in the townland in 1983.
There are numerous reports in the local newspapers of McKees in Seagahan in the period 1950 -2000. Mostly minor driving matters and the odd dead animal carcase left in fields, which led to the police being involved. In 2001 C & M McKee of 54 Ballymacauley Rd, Seagahan were granted planning permission for a house and various outbuildings.
An additional probate file you might want to look at in PRONI:
Short James of Seagahan county Armagh farmer died 6 February 1948 Probate Belfast 21 June to Bernard Toner farmer. Effects £690 15s.
You may need to knock on a few doors locally. Alternatively contact the parochial office to see if there are any McKees from Seagahan amongst the current congregation.
Thank you. I found my relatives and will be visiting next month. Thank you so much!
