Patrick Fearon and Ann Traynor

Patrick Fearon married Ann Traynor in lislea County Armagh in sept. 1859 according to birth cert for their last child Mary Ann. I can only find a marriage record of Catherine ?Feran to Ann Trenor Feb. 1859 in lower Killeavy Bessbrook. I wonder is this the marriage cert with incorrect  first name?  Their first known son was born John in 1860 - parents noted as Patrick Feran and Ann Traynor. He was bapitsed in Lower Killeavy Bessbrook. 

Is Lislea in Bessbrook parish?  They  had 3 more children before moving to Glasgow (I assume for work). Their last child Mary Ann was born in Scotland in 1878. I would like to trace parents of either  Patrick or Ann and sibs. I cannot find a death record for Patrick or Ann in Scotland. Ann was widowed by 1891 census in Scotland.  I know Ann was still alive according to the valuation roll of 1905-06.

There seems to be many spellings of Traynor and Fearon as highlighted above.

Lislea is the townland where Lower Killevy RC chapel is situated.

Ann's death looks to have been in Glasgow in 1908, aged 66. There is a death that year in Gorbals, Glasgow indexed under Ann Feron & Ann Trainor so that fits perfectly. You should get her parents names from that (assuming the informant knew the information).

A Patrick Fearon died in Penicuik in 1886 aged 50. Penicuik is near Edinburgh, so some distance from Glasgow. Not sure if it's the correct death but it's the only one I can see.

Variations in the spelling of the surnames is very common.Many people were barely literate and so couldn't spell,  but even when they were literate, accurate and consistent spelling just wasn't something they bothered about in the 1800s. Expect the spelling to vary. Use wildcards or shortened versions eg Fer* when searching the records.

Thank you so much Elwyn. I found the death record for Ann Feron and names of her parents. So that gives me something to work on.
