There are no Irelands in Armagh in the current Irish phone book.
PRONI name search has 2 Irelands in Armagh - 1775 & pre 1858
There are 3 Richard Irlands in the Tithe Applotments in Armagh (no year given but between 1823 & 37)
Armagh is not in the irish Census until 1851 but there are no Irelands in that one. However there are 57 in the 1901 Census & 58 in the 1911 which shows addresses & family groups (free at http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/)
Griffiths Valuation (free athttp://www.askaboutireland.ie/) has 12 Irelands in Armagh in 1864 showing where they lived.

I do not understand the Griffiths Valuation, could you please help me understand what it is that they exactly show?
My cousins & my mother have been looking through my Aunt & Uncle's information to see if we can find anything else.

Hi Bharti, I did some research about Griffiths Valuation some time ago because I was in the same position as you. It turns out that Richard John Griffith was appointed by the British government to initially carry out a boundary survey of every county, barony, civil parish and townland as preparation for the first Ordnance Survey. The boundary work was completed in 1844.
Then followed the surveys of townland and tenement properties. It was the tenement survey that provides the information of most use to family researchers as it names tenants/owners of land or premises,
Due to the scope of the project the differing counties survey completions took a long time, the earliest were completed in 1853 and the survey continued to completion in 1865. I've attached a document to this message that you might find useful in understanding all this, DC
