Beverland/Johnston

AntrimBallywillin (Antrim)

Looking for information on my 3rd great grandparents Isaac Beverland who was married to Elizabeth Johnston. All I have is they were from Northern Ireland the Ulster, Cavan area. I did find an Isaac Beverland in a Griffith's Valuation search. Knockertotan, Ballywillin, Co. Antrim. Looking for my Irish ancestry and any kinfolk I may have.

Good Morning

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out and apologies for the delay in replying to your message.

As you can see from the link below, Ballywillinn is a small Civil Parish in north-west Antrim:

http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/fuses/townlands/index.cfm?fuseaction=TownlandsInCivil&civilparishid=282&civilparish=Ballywillin&citycounty=Antrim

You can search records for records at: https://geni.nidirect.gov.uk/ or www.familysearch.org or www.rootsireland.ie (however you have to pay to use this latter site).

The website of the Ulster Historical Foundation is also very useful: http://www.ancestryireland.com/

as is the Antrim History site: http://www.antrimhistory.net/ ;

Other useful sites include:

The Public Records Office of Northern Ireland: http://www.proni.gov.uk/index/family_history.htm

Irish Times: http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/index.htm

Irish Genealogy Tool kit: http://www.irish-genealogy-toolkit.com/

Remember to post any new information that you find here. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you. Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search.

Best of luck with your search

Clare Doyle
