I am searching for Information on Josiah Nelson b. approximately 1732 in Belfast ,County Antrim. He had a son by the name of Hugh, born about 1765 in County Down .

Have you had a look at www.roots.ireland.ie. It is a subscription site, so I am limited in what I can see on it. However, there is a baptism for a Hugh Neilson born in Co. Down in 1750. Could your approximate birth year of c. 1763 be out by 13 years or thereabouts? It might be a good idea to have a look at it, even though it may be an exercise in ruling something out rather than in.
