Wynn or Wynne Galway

My Great Grandparents Martin & Mary came from Galway and Tipperary - can any one help further?

Below is all I have. Martin Wynn born county Galway, Ireland - 1865

****CORRECTION Martin Wynne arrived Dunedin in Aug 28 , 1874 - 27 yrs Makes the birth1847 ( From Ship records - looks like Farmer in Occopation)

Mary( nee Walsh ) born in Tipperery Ireland 1868

Married in Waipawa New Zealand 1891/582 Martin Wynns parents were John and Margaret ( Nee Kelly ) Wynne. Farmer Marys parents Thomas Walsh and Sarah ( Nee Lonnigan ) Walsh . Farmer

I searched on Roots Ireland for all of Ireland and the only Martin Wynn baptismal record with father John and mother Margaret Kelly was in 1851 in Annaghdown Galway. See below. I know 1851 is a lot earlier than you had as a year of birth so maybe this is a different Martin Wynn?

I did not find a baptismal record for Mary Walsh with the parents names you provided. The search is complicated becuase the name Mary Walsh is very common.

Roger , thank you , yes the dates are out but what would be the odds of mother/father being wrong? By the way well done Ireland in the rugby ,it is one of my great pleasures in life seeing England beaten, none of her minded been beaten by Ireland last year in Cicago as it was done by tries..not kcks.. I have a Mary Wynn/Wynne who married John McKeon/McKeown ANNAGHDOWN in 1886 Baptisem list mom as Mary Winde. Is there a connection? Thanks

My family are the Wynnes from Annaghdown.  I don't know our history from the 1800's though

I am researching this family as well, for a friend. I was really excited to read that you have more information than we do about Martin and Mary's parents:

Martin Wynn’s parents were John and Margaret ( Nee Kelly ) Wynne. Farmer
Mary’s parents Thomas Walsh and Sarah ( Nee Lonnigan ) Walsh . Farmer and that they were from Tipperary

Where did you get the information from - maybe marriage certificates or some other source?
