Workhouse admissions and deaths

Good afternoon everyone. Following the very informative Web... on Zoom this afternoon, could anybody advise if there are any records of admission to Irish Workhouses, with reasons? Also what happened when a person died in the Workhouse (burials) ?My enquiry is centred on Ballinasloe Workhouse where my great great grandfather died in 1899. Hope someone can help. Hi Graham,

Galway County Council has some workhouse records for Ballinasloe online. They can be found here.http://www.galway.ie/digitalarchives/?fbclid=IwAR05cYxLGu29434KGg-5iIysQUTMSzwITVa6KUrZR3BTr80gqODHgS09Wes

They are incomplete but you might find them useful.
