Hi, I am trying to trace if there may be any descendants of the Whelans of Kilbane, Broadford, Clare. Looking to make contact. I visited in 1989 and met Danny Whelan who has since passed away. His brother was Benny who is also resting in peace. Any clues would be helpful.

Perhaps contact St. Mary’s Church in Kilbane: https://www.killaloediocese.ie/church/kilbane/st-marys/ or send an email to the Clare Champion (https://clarechampion.ie/). Good luck.
Hi Brian,
In addition to the post by Patricia I want to add that I am local to Kilbane and know that a son of Benny lives there. For more detail you can email me at jimvaughan@eircom.net
Regards,
Thanks Patricia & Jim.
I am related to the Whelan's of Kilbane on my mum's side of the family.
And I am related to the Vaughan's of Kilbane on my dad's side.
