Tracing Suttle family of Fermanagh.

FermanaghEnniskillen (Fermanagh)

Hi I'm tracing my husband's family Suttle from the Enniskillen/Lisnaskea area of Fermanagh.

His grandfather Thomas Henry Suttle along with brothers George Edmond and John Joseph came out to Australia early 1900's.  Their father was John Suttle who married a Prudence Walker and there were other siblings listed on 1901 census - Annie aged 1; Prudence aged 4; Francis James aged 7;William Robert aged 14.  I think there were more after 1901 but haven't got details.  On John's marriage details his father's name was William but no mothers name (William was aged 65 on 1901 census).  I haven't  been able to find any additiional details on the siblings or on William, can anyone help??
cheers

Children to the Suttle/Walker marriage according to the GRONI indexes:

William 20.9.1886

John 2.4.1888

Thomas 22.3.1890

George 27.7.1892

Francis 19.9.1894

Prudence 6.6.1896

Anne 7.8.1899

William 30.8.1908

All registered in Enniskillen.

Likely death for William Suttle 27.3.1923 aged 80, regd in Lisnaskea. You will need to pay to view that on the GRONI site. William’s wife looks to have been Ann who died in 1890 aged 60:

I can’t see a marriage for them in Ireland. However I notice John was born in England, so it's possible they married there. There is a possible marriage to Ann Nunn in Linton, Cambridgeshire 1848. Suttle seems to be a surname found mostly in East Anglia so suspect that's where they originated.

Prudence married William Lee in 1920:

Frances married Martha Weir on 24th June 1925. Again you need to view that on the GRONI site.

Probate abstract:

Suttle, Francis James of Camgart county Fermanagh farmer died 5 September 1962 Administration Belfast 16 October to Martha Suttle the widow. Effects £1274 10s.
