Hi
I live in Sydney Australia and I'm trying to search for my great great great grandfather, Timothy O'Brien born in 1826 in Tipperary to William and Catherine O'Brien.
I have little information on Timothy other than he emigrated to Australia anywhere from 1846 to 1857 as he married in 1858.
Appreciate any assistance you can provide me.
Regards

Anthony:
I searched on two different subscription sites and could not locate a baptismal record around 1826 for a Timothy O'Brien with the parents names you listed above in your message.
Have you considered a general DNA test? Possibly you will have matches on your O'Brien line and the matches may have more information on the origins of the family in Ireland.

Hi Anthony,
If you can access Ancestry.com, there are over 20 public member trees for this family. One of them includes an obit for Timothy stating that he arrived in Australia in the earIy 1850s. His wife was said to be Mary Gleeson.
Some of the trees show Tim. living in Massachusetts in the 1860s but this apparently is a separate Timothy.
Thank you Patricia
Thanks Roger
