His parents were John and Ellen and he had a sister, Bridget Flood, possibly others. He may have been born in Mayo or Meath, Westmeath. . He Married Mary Fitzgerald in Gloucester, Massachusetts USA,Mary was born in Cork. Her parents names are unknown. They were my great great grandparents.

There is a baptism for a Thomas in the parish of Taughmon, Co. Westmeath on 04-Nov-1832 to parents John Flood and Ellen Muldoon. Two other children are recorded, Margaret baptised 29-Jan-1831 who presumably later died, as a 2nd daughter Margaret is baptised to the couple on 01-Sep-1835. This John and Ellen were married in Taughmon on 05-Feb-1815. Witnesses to the marriage were Matthew Coffy and Bridget Flood (possibly John's sister). Unfortunately parents' names are not recorded. Neither could I can a death record for baby Margaret.

Have you seen a post of 2012 with title "Searching Fitzgerald and Flood families"? It seems to be searching for the same Thomas Flood.
I was reading all the "Floods related" posts, because my great great grandfather was also a "Thomas Flood", presumably from Longford. His daughter Margaret Flood, was my great grandmother.

My apologies for the very late reply I didn’t see this until today. My greatgreat grandfather was a Thomas Flood , born in Ireland in 1832. He emigrated to the United States in 1853, living north of Boston, Massachusetts until his death. I found his United States naturalization papers where he stated he was from Dublin County, Ireland.
