My 3rd great grandmother way Clarinda Butler. She was born 1822 in Ireland and died 1905 in Canada. I have recently discovered a mention that her father was a doctor in Castlebar, Mayo. I have no birth records of Clarinda and I would like to find out who her parents were.
Heather:
You don't indicate the religious denomination for Clarinda. RC marriage records for Castlebar start in 1824 and baptismal records start in 1838.Records for the Church of Ireland parish start in 1840. I checked a Castlebar directory for 1824 and there was no Dr. Butler listed.
