Susan / Johanna

Hello, have you ever heard of the names Susan and Johanna being used interchangeably? I read somewhere that

Siobhan (Joan) is sometimes used for Susan. The reason I am asking is I've come across the following in my family research:

(1) I have RC baptism records of two children of Thomas Harrison and Susan McLean (Kinalea, Tracton Abbey - later records say Belgooly)

(2) I have Church of Ireland baptisms for children of Thomas Harrison and Johanna McLean and then Thomas Harrison and Susannah (no last name)

I suppose several possibilities such as different Thomas, etc.

Thanks,

Kevin Harrison

Thanks Patricia. Yes, I did see something on google regarding this. I am going to check with Tracton Genealogy and see if they can verify the transcription.
