Cathleen,
The free site irishgenealogy.ie shows a marriage for Simon Corcoran and Johana Halahan on 12 Feb 1838 in the RC parish of Enniskeane & Desertserges. The witnesses were Daniel Halahane & Tim Halahane. No parents' names are given. The baptism records for that parish begin in 1813, so if they were born prior to that, there is no record. Given that Simon named his son Daniel, this is most likely the correct marriage record.
There is a baptism record for a Mary Corcoran in the adjoining RC parish of Murragh & Templemartin on 3 Feb 1839 to parents Simon Corcoran & Johanna Halahan. The sponsors were Timy Halahan & Ellen Corcoran.
Regards,
Thank you Carolyn!!! I never found any record for Mary Corcoran, I am wondering if she was Simon's first born and she passed away in Ireland before they immigrated to USA. Then went on to have Daniel in the US.
Cathleen,
Yes, that is probably correct as she was born a year after their marriage. I think that having the marriage witness (Tim) and baptism sponsor(Timy) the same name is good evidence that this was their first child.
