Hi, I am looking at old queries and see two Bunting ladies born in Limerick in 1775 and 1780, very few records at this remove and surprised to find them there, the name is associated with Northern Ireland mainly, there was a "famous" Major Ronald Bunting" of quoted during the 1970s in Northern Ireland on the Unionist side, met his brother in Canada and he was a lovely man.
We would need a religion to see if we could find what records to look in but in the main they are unlikely to exist, the name is predominantly in Northern Ireland and you can see the distribution on this site and it is clustered in what is now Northern Ireland. https://www.johngrenham.com/surnames/
It would be most unusual to find people of colour in Ireland at that time so do not understand the reference, was he born in the US I wonder.
Regards
Pat
