Ryan/Dempsey

Hi, Please verify Annie's marriage year--it says 1899. When was she born?

Here parents were said to have married in 1892. Please verify, as it's only 7 years before Annie's marriage.

Thank you.

Thank you I have now updated post.

Hi,

Attached is maybe the civil death record for Daniel Dempsey in 1918.

Regarding the parents of Anne Ryan, are you sure she was from Limerick? Her birth record and her parent's marriage record are both in Limerick; and that is quite a distance from Courtmacsherry, Clonakilty, Cork as shown in her civil marriage record.

Regards,

The 1911 Irish census shows Daniel living in Courtmacsherry with his sister Margaret and two children, Lizzie and John Dempsey.

The 1901 census shows Daniel’s sister Margaret living with another sister, the widowed Mary Minchane, and a niece, Eliza Dempsey.

The 1901 Irish census shows the widowed Daniel living with four sons:

These records offer some new info about the Dempsey family.  I hope it is helpul.

I looked for the birth of Jeremiah Dempsey at irishgenealogy.ie.

His parents were Daniel Dempsey, carpenter, and Mary Brien.  So Daniel's wife was Mary Brien.

Thank you for you help Patricia, I managed to find Annie's parents, I was incorrect, they were from Tipperary, Patrick & Marey Ryan nee Devaney and have managed to find her sibilings names and d/o/bs.

You have the correct Dempsey family, I have the 4 brothers, mum (died during childbirth) and father Daniel.   I have not progressed further with this though, I have no idea what happened to them afterwards or if they all married etc.

Your help has been great and very much appreciated x
