I am trying to find the birth record of my great grandfather from Laois:
Thomas Waldron was born in 1813 in Laois, Ireland, the child of Thomas and Elizabeth. He married Margaret Colborne in 1843. I believe his father (also Thomas Waldron) was born in 1793 the child of Lawrence. He had one son with Elizabeth Rudd in 1813.
Any suggestions for locating records would be greatly appreciated.

Lori, am looking at unanswered queries and you are asking for church records which unfortunately start later for most parishes, I can find Waldrons from I think 1835 in Laois, in the more or less adjoining parishes of Mountmellick and Portarlington, the people are Catholics if that gels with what you have.
Mountmellick records start at 1814 and Portarlington at 1820. https://registers.nli.ie/ you can only search by event and date here and then read which is tricky.
There are some private Facebook groups doing genealogy on the various counties if you wish to join but while well run you have to be lucky to get good contacts.
