Quigley Family

I am researching Mary Quigley, who lived most of her life in the townlands of Coolehill and Ballycleary in the parish of Castletown/Offerlane, Co. Laois (Queen's County) as far as I know.

Based on her death record in 1905 (aged 86), she was likely born around 1819.

What I know:

  • Marriage: She married Patrick Glennon (spelled Pat Clenan) on April, 1853, in the parish of Offerlane.
  • Children: They had Maria (1853), Richard (1857), and Annie (1862) and John (1859)
  • Residence: She remained in Ballycleary/Coolehill as a widow for many years after Patrick died in 1867.
  • Possible Family: A Patt Quigley was a sponsor at her daughter Annie’s baptism in 1862, likely her brother.

I am looking for Mary’s baptismal record to confirm her parents' names. Also I any other info!

Thank you!

N.B: some of the info may be slighty innacurate such as birth years or Patrick Glennon's death.

Not sure if you've seen Mary in the 1901 census: https://census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Queen_s_Co_/Donore/Ballycleary/1642780/

Based on Irish naming patterns, it is IikeIy Mary's father was caIIed John, as that is the name of her second son.  And it is IikeIy her mother was named Anne or Maria.  But of course, this is stiII to be proved.

Hi everyone and thank you for your help!

Mary's age of death was recorded as 76 in her death record, but on the census she was recorded as being 82 when she passed. This changes the window of when she might have been born. So if I go by the Census she was born around 1817, but if I go by the death record it would be 1820s to 1830s. I found this record on Ancestry, could it be hers, I wonder...
