Possible family connection - Beahan/Behan

This is a long shot but I would be grateful for any info that is available. Thank you in advance. Starting with Daniel Beahan (1836-1891) married to Margaret Flanagan on 27 Mar 1866 at St Mary's, Dublin. Daniel father's, Maurice, died I believe in 1868 but not certain at this point. I do not know who Maurice married or when, or his birth date. I would like to ascertain whether Maurice and ?wife had other children. I am looking for a connection to Augustus Maurice Beahan who migrated to Australia.

Any info for Maurice and family would be welcome. Thank you

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

www.irishgenealogy.ie is a free Irish government site which has Dublin city church records. I found the 1866 marriage record and it provides the names of the parents of Daniel and Margaret. See below. Maurice Behan and Mariae Behens and Jacobi (James) Flanagan and Sara Flanagan. I don't know if Behens was a mistrancription of Behan. I searched for records for Maurice Beahan and found a baptismal record for an Eliza in 1832 and a Mary Anne in 1833-- same church. There were a couple other records were a Maurice Behan was the father but different mothers. I did not see Augustus.

Hi Nabm

Daniel is my 3rd great grandfather, In one of the letters his son (Walter, My 2nd great grandfather) wrote he mentions that Daniel had 2 brothers names Chrstopher and Maurice who both went to America. I hope to find more information on them soon

My great-grandfather John Bahen DOB 1823  emigrated to Canada 1842   not sure if other family came also. HIis father Patrick married the daughter of Richard buckey who was piked (fatally) during the Roman rebellion according to family history my best guess would be 1798 .

Unable to find any Irish connections and don't know parish

Spelling variation Behen Beahan
