My O'Neill family from Townland :Knocks .

I have an article here Lighting Fatality at Knocks July 1893 Cork Examiner

One of the men Patrick Neill who was my great Grandfather's John younger brother was killed by lighting.

Pt. 2 of the article I did not post has that an inquest would not be held it was not necessary.

"The funerals of the men , Patrick Neill and Patrick Sullivan, killed on the occasion took place yesterday; the former was interred at Desert the latter at( looks like Kilngross) " ...."The two men injured are progressing favourable".

Does anyone know where exactly is Patrick bured at ?

Who were the other two men injured?

Hello Cheryl, I am answering older queries and i see your deaths on the civil site and the area is the parish of Desertserges, see here

Click on Civil and search, both entries are on the one sheet of the ledger. The registration area is Clonakilty.

I do not know where they were buried but if you search Facebook for a Cork Genealogy group and join or even if there is one for the parish etc you might strike lucky .
