I am looking for the parents of Patrick Madden, Sr. Birth abt. 1840. His children are from Spiddal, Galway. His wife was Ellen Keating (Abt 1851-1904). I found birth records for his children, his name on the 1901 census, and nothing else. Can you assist? I would appreciate any help.

I attach a copy of the Civil Birth Record of Bridget Madden. Subscription site www.rootsireland.ie has a Patrick Conneely and a Sarah Madden as her baptismal sponsors.
Based on the 911 Irish census Patrick was born in County Galway and spoke Irish only. He is recorded in house No. 3. A Patrick Conneely is recorded at house No. 8.
The above may assist in identifying his parents names.
There is a record of a Sarah Madden for 1873 and Catherine 1875. Patrick Conneely is recorded in relation to their baptisms. - Form B1 should read 1911 Irish Census. not 1901.

A search for a birth record or marriage record for a Patrick Madden has proved negative. I attach some further records: Death 1917 - Reported by his son Mark.
Records in relation to a Martin Keating in Shannagurraun in 1853. No census record found. He was possibly the father of Ellen Keating. Nothing found for her!

From 1863 to 1867 there was an RIC Constable - John Keating - stationed in Spiddal.

I found that in the 1884 census Patrick's mother was living with them. Her name was Bridget. Then going with the Conneely idea, I found that an Edmund Mullen married a Bridget Conneely, and they had a son named Patrick in 1842. Patrick also had a sister named Sarah.
