Patrick Joseph Gourley

Hi, bit of a long shot, if anyone could help, please. I'm searching for a Patrick Joseph Gourley, born around about 1936. Unfortunately all I know is he was born in Ireland.. No idea where. I looked on the Irish records website, thinking I'm going to find hundreds of people with that name, born about that year in all of Ireland, that I'd have to trawl through. But I only found one, in Cork! Surely I must be doing something wrong? Any help would be much appreciated x

FYI. The surname Gourley in the 19th century was found in counties in Ulster. Likely your Patrick Joseph Gourley was born in one of the counties in Northern Ireland. However, Northern Ireland like the Republic of Ireland follows a 100 year rule for disclosure of births online.
