Patrick Johnston

Hello

I'm looking for a marriage record and a death certificate for Patrick Johnston.

Born circa 1900, Bundoran, County Donegal to Patrick Johnston (born circa 1862) and his wife Bridget (born circa 1869).

Patrick married Eileen.

He emigrated to the USA, 1930's/1940's?

Was living in New York.

Can anyone help me please?

Thanks!

It would help if you provided additional information. Did Patrick marry Eileen in Ireland or New York? Do you know her surname. Did they have children? Where? When?

Hello

No idea where they married.

They were childless.

Eileen had siblings, I'm aware of 2 sisters, Maureen and Noreen.

Patrick died in the USA.

Thanks

An obituary for Helena Eileen Johnston ran in the Press Enterprise in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, on November 18, 1992. Am having trouble posting it, but it notes her husband was Patrick, that she had lived in NY, was active in the church, and had many siblings, including Noreen and Maureen. And it says Patrick died in 1986.

Thanks so much Patricia!!

So Eileen was her middle name!

I was only aware of Noreen and Maureen.

Can you or someone help me with Patrick's death certificate please?

Thank you.

If you have access to Ancestry, you can see that Patrick and Eileen went to Ireland in 1952: https://www.ancestry.com/search/collections/7488/records/3029330597

Information here on ordering death records from NYC for post-1949 records.

However, we do not know for sure that Patrick died in NYC.

Thanks Patricia!

Unfortunately I cannot open Eileen's obituary as its a jfif?

Is there another format you possibly post it as so I can access it please?

Also I don't have access to Ancestry for their visit to Ireland in 1952 either.

I know there's no grave for Patrick in Ireland which is why I think he died and is buried in the USA. I wonder if he and Eileen are buried together?

Thanks for continued help with this search!

Liberty.

Liberty,

I posted info above about getting a NYC death record. You would have to apply for it. However, we don't know for sure that Patrick died in NYC.
