Any help would be appreciated.
My Grt, Grt Grandfather Owen was born in 1816 County Leitrim (according to Census Records) He married Anna Rodger’s in 1848 in Aughavas. They left Ireland for Scotland and later moved to Liverpool with their Family where they settled and remained until they passed.
I have a multitude of Records but non from Ireland except their Marriage…
Thank you.
Maddy,
The paid site, Roots Ireland shows they were married on 23 Nov 1848 in the RC parish of Aughavas, Leitrim. You can go to the NLI site at registers.nli.ie and search for it using the parish name and date. It is the third record from the top on the right side of the page. I tried to attach the record, but the file was too big.
Regards,
RootsIreland has baptisms for three of Owen's children:
Source Surname First Name Year County
Church Baptism Odonnell Catherine 1849 Co. Leitrim

In the 1857 Griffith's Valuation of Leitrim, there were three Owen O' (or Mc) Donnells who were heads of household. If your Owen was still in Ireland, perhaps one of these is him.
