Dear David:
Many thanks for your post to the Ireland Reaching Out message board and for the very helpful link for others who are researching ancestry from the MIddletown CT area!
Would you be interested in creating a profile (or profiles) of your ancestors listed in your post and mention the cemetery as a source? This would be so helpful for our many members and you might find that there are others out there who are also related to the same families.
You can create the profiles through the link below:

If you have any questions, please let me know.
Kind regards,
Jane.
I am related to Sheedy, as well. I am Michael Sheedy, the contractor's, great great granddaughter. I'd like to know if this John was the son of William and Margaret. Please advise. Thank you.
Hi David:
As you have seen above, you have gotten a response to this post. Have you been able to create any Ancestor profiles? Please let me know and I will try to assist you.
All the best,
Jane
I know this is an older post, but Middletown, Connecticut is where my Irish immigrant ancestors landed too, so has been ground zero for much of my research. My 2nd great-grandparents, Michael McCarthy and Bridget Flavin, were both born in County Cork in the early 1840's but met in Middletown, where they married in 1869. They're both in the NEW St. John's Cemetery along with many other family members. This refined list from the original poster (DavidStack) is such a great find and much appreciated! If I had to wager, our family probably has folks in the OLD St. John's Cemetery too. There were so many Cork immigrants in Middletown and Portland, especially from east Cork as noted in the list, and I always wondered if the familiar name Middletown could have drawn them since so many were born near Midleton!
Have you checked the records for St. Mary’s Cemetery in Portland, CT? I’ve found more ancestors there as well.
