O’Connell/Roche/Fenton/Spillane of Cappawee

Hello! My name is Rachael Alley. My sister Logan and I are planning to travel to Ireland next summer and would like to visit the area that was my great grandmother Julia Claire O’Connell’s home.

She lived in Cappawee from at least 1880 - 1896 before she emigrated to the US. I wondering if there was anyone who might still be living in the area. Honora O’Connell married a Spillane, Maggie and Bart O’Connell were living with the Spillanes in the 1901 census. We have an older photograph plus we have found Cappawee on Google maps. Hoping to see the home place and wondering if any family still lives there. Thank you for any information that you can provide

Maybe Batt and Ellens' marriage record from Irishgenealogy. I am not sure where Imilaghpeste is. Since it is in Prior Parish it would be in Western Kerry

I am not sure which Catholic Church the residents a Cappawee go to. Portmagee is close by (you should include on your visit). You might try contacting the local church in Portmaggee. They might know if there is still family in the area.
